Giorgio Pasotti

Giorgio Pasotti born in Bergamo on June 22, 1973 is an Italian actor. In 1998 he appeared on screens with the Italian films I piccoli maestri, and Ecco fatto. He then landed on television, where he hosted the program Cinematic on MTV Italy. In 2000, he also made his theater debut, as a leading lady together with Stefania Rocca, with Robert Lepage's Le poligraphe. He also works for commercials and video clips. Popularity finally came with the television series Distretto di Polizia in which he played the role of Inspector Paolo Libero. In 2006 he stars alongside Neri Marcorè in the miniseries E poi c'è Filippo. He participated in the making of the video for the song Io che amo solo te by Fiorella Mannoia in January 2008. In 2009 he returned to the small screen with three TV dramas, Two Moms Too Many, Laura's Choice, and David Copperfield. In 2010 he returned to theaters with Kiss Me Again, a sequel to The Last Kiss. In 2012 he played Giuseppe Garibaldi in the miniseries Anita Garibaldi aired on Rai 1. In 2013 he plays Stefano in the Oscar-winning film La grande bellezza, directed by Paolo Sorrentino. He also stars in the film Diary of a Good Maniac. In 2014 he was among the leads in Taste of You, directed by Carlo Vanzina. Also for Vanzina he plays in A Fairy Tale Wedding. In Mio papà, a film directed by Giulio Base that deals with the theme of so-called "extended families," Pasotti stars and, for the first time, is among the writers of the subject. On the small screen, however, he plays Lino Zani, the ski instructor of Pope John Paul II, in Don't Be Afraid - A Friendship with Pope Wojtyla, and a carabiniere fighting the Germans during World War II in A testa alta - I martiri di Fiesole.
